International Leaders Program
Are you a trained construction or civil engineer and registered with the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen)? Apply for a place in Skanska's International Leadership Program, ILP, which is aimed at foreign-born engineers with work experience from the construction industry. The program is run by Skanska in collaboration with Arbetsförmedlingen.
Participants in Skanska ILP receive both theoretical training and practice in one of Skanska's projects. The application is open to everyone regardless of where you live in Sweden, since distance learning is possible and the internship can be adapted.
The goal is that, after completing the program, the participants will be employed by Skanska.
Course planning
- Introductory training. Purpose: get to know Skanska as a company.
- 11 weeks of training (possibility of distance learning) in, among other things, work environment, production planning, contract law and construction technology at the Vocational Academy.
- 17-week internship at one of Skanska's construction sites in Sweden, planned according to your place of residence.
- Leadership training at Skanska.
Do you qualify for our leadership program?
- You are registered with Arbetsförmedlingen and have the right to labor market training.
- You were born in a country other than Sweden.
- You have a statement on the degree from Högskoleverket or Universitets-och högskolerådet (UHR), or you have submitted documents for the degree to UHR and are waiting for a response.
- You have an engineering education with a specialization in construction (house construction, road/water, construction) or a Master's in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP).
- You have at least three (3) years of professional experience as a civil servant in the construction industry.
- You have mastered the Swedish language well enough to be able to conduct an interview.
