Foundation work
Skanska offers comprehensive foundation solutions, including precast piling, sheet piling, drilling, grouting, and structural welding. With our own pile manufacturing facility in Bollebygd, we are committed to developing products and methods that minimize environmental impact.
By working closely with geotechnical engineers and structural designers, we ensure cost-efficient solutions tailored to each project’s unique conditions. Our focus is on maintaining a safe working environment and delivering the highest quality, supported by a modern fleet of machinery designed to meet client needs.
Piling
Skanska provides both precast concrete and steel pipe piles for a wide range of construction projects, including bridges, buildings, roads, and quays. Precast concrete piles are produced at our in-house facility in Bollebygd, allowing for efficient, flexible production.
Steel pipe piles can be installed through driving, drilling, or vibration, making them ideal for complex or demanding soil conditions. We also offer expert support in pile design and type selection to help optimize every foundation solution.
Support Structures
Skanska delivers support structures for a variety of construction projects. Equipped with multiple types of sheet piling rigs, we can adapt to diverse ground conditions and engineering requirements. These temporary or permanent structures play a critical role in ensuring stability and load-bearing capacity throughout construction.
Jet Grouting
Jet grouting is a specialized ground improvement technique used to stabilize difficult soil conditions such as soft, deep, or water-bearing layers. Skanska’s expertise in this area strengthens ground stability and load-bearing capacity—an essential factor in complex construction projects where traditional methods may not suffice.
Quay and Marine Works
With extensive experience in both new construction and renovation of marine structures, Skanska designs and builds durable, high-performance quays and waterfront facilities. Many of these projects involve advanced support structures or piling to ensure long-term stability and load capacity.
Our structural engineers play a key role in design and execution, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability—from planning to completion.
