A new primary school for Colchester
We have built a new primary school, playground and playing fields on a greenfield site in Colchester. Covering approximately 2,100sqm, the new two-storey steel-framed building was ready to welcome 420 children aged from four to eleven in September 2015.
Special site tours for new pupils
60 children and their parents attended a family day to show off the new Braiswick Primary School and Early Years building. The site tour, led by head teacher Lorraine Laudrum and her staff, was attended by a number of council representatives. Cllr Ray Gooding, Essex County Council’s cabinet member, responsible for education, was there to see how the new school was progressing.
Speaking about the tour, Skanska director, Martin Kramer, said, “It was a great opportunity for the children to get behind the hoardings and see their new school taking shape.”
