Located in the center of Przemyśl, a pedestrian & cyclist bridge over the San river, connected two waterfronts – Józefa Piłsudskiego and Saint Pope John Paul II. The river crossing was built as a part of the project called “Cyclist routes in Easter Poland”.

The bridge construction is consisted of 38 meter high steel pylon together with two 155  centimeters high and 138 meters long glue-laminated wood girders, reinforced with steel structure. Concurrently, the girders are functioning as the railing protection, providing safety for the bridge users.
The overcrossing is supported by 24 steel cables (diameter 32 and 40 mm). Its base and internal sheathing were made of Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC), which is ideal to use whether durability and weather resistance are required. Weight of the whole structure is approx. 175 tons.
The assembly was conducted on a floodplain, parallel to the river’s banks, to avoid the interference of temporary scaffolding in the riverbed. The bridge is located in the historic part of the city and the area is protected by “Natura 2000” project.
