Skanska’s pre-event to The Global Ministerial Conference

How the construction industry builds for better road safety and a sustainable society

Skanska welcomes participants of the Global Ministerial Conference on a site visit to the construction project “Kungens Kurva” to discuss different ways to increase road safety.

We will discuss and share best practices on increasing road safety on a construction project where Skanska is building a new highway interchange.

Date: 18th of February
Time: 9.30 - 12.00 am
Place: Kungens Kurva, Stockholm (Skanska will provide transportation from Stockholm City Centre).

Programme

During the site visit the participants will be informed how Skanska work with road safety during construction, for example through partnerships to ensure the safety of our workers and the traveling public. As a global construction company operating in different markets we have several good examples to share. The participants will also have a guided tour on the construction site.

As one of the leading companies within the construction industry when it comes to sustainability Skanska will share how the work with the SDGs is proceeding. The goals help us in pushing the sustainability agenda forward in our construction projects.

Safety is a strong value that permeates everything we do and in all our projects. The site visit will end with a discussion about how to achieve a culture where safety is always top priority and what kind of measure can be taken to improve road safety.
