Shopping Center Sello

  • Main entrance

The construction of Leppävaara in Espoo, a commercial center of approximately ten hectares in size, started in the spring of 2001. The largest shopping center in Finland, Sello, was built in the area. The first stage of the center included, for example, a new Prisma supermarket, Citymarket supermarket and other services, such as a library, a joint service point of the organizations occupying the shopping mall, a music hall and the facilities of a conservatoire.

When the second stage of the project was completed in the autumn of 2005, Sello became one of the largest shopping centers in Europe with its total floor area of approximately 86,000 m2. Parking facilities for a little over 3,000 cars were built. Sello Rex Entertainment Center was completed in 3.phase.

Skanska has also constructed Palace Hotel Sello next to the Sello Shopping Center as a joint venture with NCC Construction Ltd.
