Skanska was an early contributor to the development of airports and related support facilities. Skanska has constructed both the runways and terminal buildings in Sweden (Arlanda, Torslanda, Landvetter, Bulltofta and Visby) thereby intertwining Skanska with the history of aviation. The Skanska catalogue also includes airports and air terminal projects in Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia and the US including Atlanta, GA, Tampa, FL, New York, NY, Houston, TX, Miami, FL, Chicago, IL, and Boston, MA. Airport related construction projects include the AirTrain project in New York and Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
