We consider it important to get acquainted with the skilled workers of the future as soon possible. Hence, we prioritize our cooperation with selected upper-secondary schools that have construction and civil-engineering programs. Students and Skanska are given the opportunity to come into contact with each other through the collaboration.
For some time now, Skanska has been collaborating with various upper-secondary schools that are training future skilled workers. To further reinforce this effort, we are also collaborating with selected upper-secondary schools throughout the country. During the academic year of 2012/2013, a total of 51 schools will be included in our prioritized collaboration with upper-secondary schools.
The purpose of the collaboration is to create a mutual exchange for both parties. Students gain an increased understanding of the industry, have recurring contact with Skanska and gain insight into various categories of skilled workers at Skanska. At Skanska, we get acquainted with the students and in such a manner, make provision for some of our future manpower requirements.
Skanska offers activities to the schools through this collaboration: participation in program counseling, information meetings, study visits and workplace training.
