When working with project development, you will quickly discover that no two projects are alike. The tasks largely involve an understanding of what attracts and creates value for our customers, meaning house buyers and commercial tenants, and transforming these insights within the project. In other words, the job represents major growth opportunities. You may work closely with both production and end customers.
In our development projects, we take on roles of owner and building contractor, while we also act as the supplier. This is a sensible manner of working, since we create our own business. It also allows us to act as a more demanding customer to ourselves, such as by requiring that our proprietarily developed offices are always environmentally certified with the LEED certification system.
If you enjoy developing customer value and managing projects from their formation to their implementation phases and all the way through to their handover to customers, you will thrive at Skanska. You may be proactive in working with new transactions with, for example, municipalities and real estate companies. You may also work with marketing communication and sales. The majority of those working with project development at Skanska are based in one of our offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö.
